Making Your Own Granola – Cara-Michele’s Kitchen

Tired of eating the same breakfast every day? Try making your own granola. You can use it to make cereal, mix into your yogurts, and even snack on it during the day. Check out the video below for my recipe. It’s super easy to make and you don’t even have to follow exact measurements. Just mix all the ingredients for the base, add seasonings to taste and bake or dehydrate!

For This Granola Recipe I Used:

The base:

  • Oat groats (soaked overnight)
  • Sunflower seeds
  • Macademia nuts
  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Cocoa nibs
  • Shredded coconut
  • Coconut oil

Seasonings:

  • Unsweetened baking cocoa
  • Salt
  • Coconut cream
  • Chia seeds
  • Vanilla extract
  • Powdered ginger
  • Coco powder
  • Cinnamon
  • Maple syrop
  • Coconut (palm) sugar
  • Flax seed
  • Hemp hearts

You can use any combination of the above or substitute nuts and seeds for the kind you prefer. If you want to add fruit or berries, I recommend adding them at the very end.
